Born in Richmond KZN, Guy had the opportunity to be exposed to the wild. his love for Africa runs in the family genes. Guy has just finished his Bcomm degree at the University of Stellenbosch majoring in Logistics and Agricultural Economics. He attended Maritzburg College and took a year off after school where he joined a film company, African Video Productions, as one of their cameramen, filming in many African countries, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia, South Africa and Tanzania. Guy continued to film for them throughout his varsity career. He has a very keen sense of adventure and in 2009 he climbed Kilimanjaro with a team of 4. In 2010 he and Matthew Hampson backpacked through Eastern Africa up to Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya. His passion for the outdoor is evident.
Matt was fortunate enough to grow up in a farming environment throughout his life and it was here that his love for the outdoors began. He is a keen hiker and has climbed various mountains in the Western Cape where he also studied at Stellenbosch University finnishing with a Bcomm in management sciences and honours in logistics. Matthew attended school at Maritzburg College where he played for the 1stXI in hockey and cricket. He also represented the South African U19 hockey side. In 2010 Matthew, along with some friends backpacked from Zambia all the way through to Kenya, visiting Malawi, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda along the way. He also worked for an Overlanding Company in Kenya in 2010 where he helped cook and put up tents for visiting tourists. Matthew is currently farming but has plans to travel in the future. He is looking forward to the expedition that lies ahead and hopes that they can impact some lives in any way.
Marc is a fun loving person who enjoys meeting and making new friends. He grew up on a farm in the Natal Midlands and is currently working on the farm. He enjoys the outdoors, walking in the mountains and he is always looking for new challenges along the way. Marc went to school at Maritzburg College and matriculated in 2009 where he captained the 2nd XV rugby side to an unbeaten season. After school he went to the Boland College in Stellenbosch where he studied a diploma in Tourism, he stayed in Kolonieshof Mans Koshuis and became deputy head of house in his second and final year.Having studied tourism he wants to get involved in the industry by starting his own overlanding company. This expedition is right down his alley and he is looking forward to it alot. People dont often get an opportunity like this one and he is very greatfull that he can be apart of something that may change others lives for the better.

In his matrix year he was made the Deputy Head Prefect, he played for the 1st XI cricket team and captained the 2nd team hockey. After school he was invited to play cricket in England for the Canterbury Cricket Club and in his spare time he travelled through much of Europe.For the last
three years he has been studying a BA degree at the University of Stellenbosch. He will be completing his undergrad degree in the second half of 2012 with majors in Philosophy and
English and is planning to go on to do his Honours in English.
